As we were getting ready to leave for dinner, I remarked that it looked like it might rain. As the words left my mouth, a rumble of thunder came out of the clouds looming over our part of Florence. It was brief, but umbrellas needed to be pulled out so we wouldn't get drenched. Some of the students were complaining, but I was excited to see actual rain on this trip, since last year in Athens all we got was a sprinkle.
